Alumni of Velammal School (Mogappair),  Mr.L.Madhubalan came second in state and 71st at the national level at the Civil Services Examination 2017. The results of the exam were published recently and the topper is expected to join Indian Administrative Service (IAS) soon.

Madhubalan who finished his schooling in 2012, went on to pursue Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Speaking about the essence of his success, at just 23, he said self discipline, that he learnt during his school days, was the most vital ingredient to clear the examinations.

He is among the 990 people who have cleared the final round, having competed against 5 lakh people. who wrote the examination.

The school management congratulated him on his stupendous achievement and wishes him best for his future endeavors in service for the nation.
