Chennai 13th May 2018: The 5th edition of Forum Vijaya Mall ‘Junior Master Chef’ event held on the 13th May 2018. We were thrilled to see the crowd that had gathered to witness the little culinary masters in action.
In total 280 participants were registered out of which top 8 kids from each category were selected for the final. The event chief guest, renowned celebrity chef Damodaran fondly known as Chef Damu, had graced the occasion and engaged with the kids and audience, assessing their dishes and critiquing.
The competition had two categories open to both boys and girls. The first category was for kids aged between 7-10 years. The second category was for children between 11-15 years.
The competition was conducted in two stages where the preliminary round was held on 5thMay 2018 followed by the grand finale on 13th May 2018.
The children were an effervescent bunch of young chefs who took to the kitchen and prepared a variety of dishes within the allotted time.
Celebrity Chef DR Damu and Umesh Iyer, GM Forum Vijaya Mall award the coveted title of Forum’s Junior Chef Champ with gift hampers and cash prizes bagged by the winners, runner ups and participants.
The first place in Category 1 went to Manisha followed by Bhoomika who was the runner up. In the Category 2, the first place went to Surya Vinoth and the runner up is Tharani. They were felicitated by Chef Damu.
