Mumbai / Chennai, May 18, 2018: DSP BlackRock Investment Managers Pvt. Ltd., one of India’s premier asset management companies, today announced that Vinit Sambre, Senior Vice President, will be taking over as Head of Equities and Rohit Singhania, Senior Vice President, will become Co-Head – Equities with immediate effect. Anup Maheshwari, CIO – Equities has decided to leave the firm to pursue other opportunities.

Anup Maheshwari has been with DSP BlackRock since July 1997 and managed domestic funds from May 2001 to June 30, 2012. Anup was CIO at HSBC Asset Management between Dec 2005 and May 2006 before returning to DSP BlackRock.Anup has previously worked forChescor, a British fund management firm that managed three offshore funds investing in Indian equities.

Vinit Sambre has been a fund manager since June 2010 and currently manages the DSP BlackRock Small Cap Fund and DSP BlackRock Midcap Fund as co-fund manager. Vinit joined DSP BlackRock in 2007 as a portfolio analyst and has over 20 years of experience in research and fund management.

Rohit Singhania has been with DSP BlackRock since 2005 and has over 18 years of experience in fund management and research. He manages DSP BlackRock India T.I.G.E.R. Fund (The Infrastructure Growth and Economic Reforms Fund), DSP BlackRock Equity Opportunities Fund and DSP BlackRock Tax Saver Fund. He is also the co-fund manager of DSP BlackRock Natural Resources and New Energy Fund.
