Chennai, June 2018: GEO INDIA FOUNDATION and EVENTS WALK is organizing a mega marathon in Chennai “GEO MARATHON” An awareness run for clean city and healthy living on 26th August 2018 in Chennai The marathon is planned at Besant Nagar and the event is conducted to spread awareness about clean city.
The GEO marathon is a half-Marathon and has two phases the first one, the trail run is on 24th June and the final marathon is scheduled on 26thaugust 2018, that encourage not just trained athletes but also families and younger ones to participate.
Event ambassador for the Geo marathon 2018 is Tamil Thalaivas team Pro kabaddi league Mr.C.Arun ( Defender – Indian Kabbadi Player ) and Mr.K Prapanjan ( Raider – Indian Kabbadi Player ) are pleased to be associated with the event. “I am very happy to be part of this great Marathon. Obviously it’s not my sport, but I have been running some marathons myself and know how it feels.,” said Arun.
GEO INDIA Foundation wants to create awareness of clean cause, with the general public participation – by doing cleanup activities of water bodies in Chennai. “Every citizen has the right to have clean environment. It is essential to uplift the citizens to the normal life with cleanliness. This event will bring awareness among citizens, the necessity of clean environment” said Priya, Co-founder Geo India Foundation.
