Chennai, August 2018: VGN Property Developers recently organized an awareness run to educate and spread awareness to the general public on State Government’s proposed plastic ban in Tamil Nadu. Mr. V Pratish Devadoss, MD, VGN Property Developers along with senior members of the management flagged off the 3 km awareness run from Besant Nagar Beach in Chennai.
Hundreds staff from VGN participated in the awareness drive. The 3km run started from Olcot Memorial School and ended at the same spot after taking the route along the Elliots beach road. The participants also took a pledge to ‘Saying No To Plastics’ in their day to day life.
Speaking at the event, Mr. V Pratish Devadoss, MD, VGN Property Developers said, “We fully support the recent initiative to ban the use of plastic from 1stJanuary 2019 across the state. It is in the best interest of the environment and ensure an amicable environment for our future generations. Plastic products contributes to different forms of pollution and we need to initiate the process of finding suitable and sustainable alternatives to protect nature and contribute to replenishment of the natural resources present on earth. We also thank the participants who came in large numbers to support the cause and drive the message across the state”.
