On 09/09/2018 (Sunday) a Fund-raising event AYUDH’18 was jointly organized by SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Vadapalani campus, SRM-VDP Alumni Association and SRM Vadapalani Rotaract club. The event was inaugurated by Film Actor-Director, Thiru. Manobala and Actor-Director, Thiru. Ravimaria. Participants from different colleges showcased their talents in different on-stage and off-stage events. The prizes were distributed by Actor Thiru. Ma.Ka.Pa. Ananth of Vijay TV fame and Singer Miss. Nithyashree of Vijay TV Super singer fame. The Chief Guests spoke about the importance of inculcating social awareness among students and congratulated the institution for organizing this social event.

The Fund raised by conducting the events will be utilized to conduct Cancer Awareness Medical camps to rural people with the help of SIMS Hospitals, Vadapalani. This event was successfully organized with the help of Dean (E&T) of the Vadapalani campus Dr. K. Duraivelu and various Head of the Departments. This event was organized by Mr. G. Raman and Mr. S. Vignesh, Assistant Professors, Department of Mechanical Engineering, SRMIST- Vadapalani campus on behalf of SRM Vadapalani Rotaract club and SRM-VDP Alumni Association.
