NTSE – National Talent Search Exam is a talent based evaluation system scientifically designed for class X students. It measures individual’s strengths and weaknesses on the basis of the concepts learnt at school. Close to 300,000 students appear in this scholarship exam every year, and around 1,000 scholarships are awarded. NTSE National Talent Search Exam 2017-18
NTSE occurs in two stages. The first stage usually conducted by the Tamil Nadu government was held on November 18, 2017. Students who were selected in the first stage appeared for the second stage of NTSE conducted by NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training) on May 13, 2018 which is usually a National level test.

NTSE is one of the oldest and most acclaimed competitive exams. This is mainly because over 12-14 lakh students from 36 regions (29 states+ 7 UTs) appear for this exam and in the end only 1000 students are selected for the scholarship. This means that only about 0.06% of the students make it through, which clearly shows how difficult it is to crack NTSE.
