Chennai, October 28th 2018: ALERT, a voluntary non-profit organisation working to ensure ‘Right to life’ a reality in India organised the third Edition of ALERTATHON – “Awareness Run to Save Live “in Chennai today.   Dr C Sylendra Babu, IPS, Additional Director General police – Railways, flagged off 10K and 5K Awareness run to save lives at Dr MGR Janaki Arts and Science College for women, Adyar.

Over 1000 participants along with Dr C Sylendra Babu, Lt Col Dheeraj, Big FM R J Giri Giri participated in the 10k run & 5k run which started from Dr MGR Janaki Arts and science College for women and passed through Besant Nagar Beach and ended at the Dr MGR Janaki Arts and science College for women. Over 100 volunteers and Alert Voice ambassador supported the run.

 

ALERTATHON is the signature running event of ALERT with the theme of “Run to Save a Life”. It is a kind of run which will test the pace of the regular runners and will also encourage newbie’s’ to participate and take up fitness on a regular basis and to create awareness in the society on first aid and emergency care

 Participants are offered the opportunity to get empowered in emergency response and save lives. Adidas is offering INR 40,000 worth of prizes for the winners. Every participant will receive T-shirt, medal, breakfast & special discount vouchers from Adidas store, Naturals Salon, Thillai’s Masala, Talwalkars and My Apollo card from Apollo Hospitals.
