New Delhi, November 2018:Vistara, India’s finest full-service carrier, and its primary catering partner TajSATS, kick-started a four-day culinary workshop in New Delhi for chefs from TajSATS regional kitchens across the country. The workshop is aimed at taking Vistara’s inflight dining experience a notch higher by incorporating customer feedback received through various streams over the last one year and curating a menu that serves the preferences of all customers. The workshop brings together chefs from TajSATS facilities in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Chennai, to inspire creativity, innovation and to explore many more ways to win over Vistara customers through their taste buds.

Inflight meal service has been one of Vistara’s biggest USPs, with the airline’s effort being offering customers an experience much like a fine-dining restaurant. Understanding what customers want on their meal trays, how they want it, and sometimes even pre-empting what they might like are key elements to making this possible. This culinary workshop takes that discussion deeper and will help Vistara evaluate, craft, and perfect each of the dishes served onboard.

The culinary workshop will serve as a platform for sharing knowledge, experience and culinary demonstrations, thereby leading to an adventure of cooking the most authentic dishes which have evolved over centuries to perfection.

Close to four years ago since Vistara started operations, the airline has been very sensitive to feedback from customers to meet their preferences and expectations from India’s most loved airline. The culinary workshop has been organized keeping in mind the customer response to Vistara’s inflight menu through various channels like customer surveys carried out on flights as well as views received from flyers during their discussions with the cabin crew and online conversations. Earlier this year, Vistara launched the ‘Chef-on-Board’ program in partnership with Taj SATS, whereby uniformed chefs take direct and instant customer feedback on the inflight meal menu across the network on select flights.

As the highest-rated Indian airline on Skytrax and TripAdvisor, and winner of several ‘Best in Industry’ awards, Vistara has consistently raised the bar for operations and service delivery in the Indian aviation industry in a short span of less than four years. The airline today serves 22 destinations with over 800 flights a week and a fleet of 22 aircraft, and has flown over 10 million customers since launch
