HARVEST FESTIVAL CELEBRATED AT VELAMMAL

Velammal Main School, Mogappair campus celebrated Pongal in a grand manner. The guest of honour Dr. T. G. Srinivasan, Health Education Officer, Greater Chennai Corporation presided over the function.

The Anti-Plastic awareness signature campaign was initiated by the Chief Guest. The 15 feet Pongal pot by the students was a feast to everyone’s eyes.

The students enjoyed seeing the designed Earthen pots emphasising the theme ‘Go Green’. The guest speech was informative and inspired everyone.

The campus looked colourful with the teachers and students in their traditional attire. A wide range of traditional cultural dance performance by the students marked the occasion a memorable one.

The Anti- plastic awareness resolution by the students created a message to the society. Competitions were also conducted for the staff. The programmes were relished and cherished by everyone.
