‘realme Sundowner’ goes to Chennai with Indian rapper Divine at Vellore Institute of Technology

realme is organising 4 multi-city music concerts by Guru Randhawa and Divine and 11 campus festivals this season

Chennai, October, 2019: realme, the fastest growing smartphone brand in India, that resonates with the young generation has kick-started India’s biggest concert ‘realme Sundowner’ – a campus platform to enjoy great music with top-notch artists. realme, today, organised an enthralling evening with Indian Rapper – Divine at Vellore Institute of Technology in Chennai. Divine is an award-winning Rapper & Hip-hop artist with hit singles such as Farak and Jungli Sher, who has redefined Indiaʼs Underground Music scene. The concert was power-packed with attendance of over 1200 students.

This initiative is part of campus connect campaign for the youth by the brand. ‘realme Sundowners’, aimed towards the students is being organised in 4 cities and has music sensations Guru Randhawa and Divine performing world-class music in the campuses. The first leg of this multi-city concert commenced with Guru Randhawa, Indian singer, songwriter and music composer performing at Lovely Professional University in Jalandhar. The concert was attended by more than 20,000 students. After his elated performance in Jalandhar, Guru Randhawa is all set to perform in Mumbai on October 17, 2019 at IIT Bombay. Divine, the India Rapper, will also perform in Guwahati at Royal Global University on October 23, 2019.

Speaking about the multi-city campus campaigns, Mr. Madhav Sheth, CEO, realme India said, “We are happy to associate with young and talented performers like Guru Randhawa and Divine. This festival will truly be a one of a kind experience for our youth and realme fan communities of Chennai, Jalandhar, Mumbai and Guwahati. We have also launched the multi city-campus programs that brings youth together and help students realize their passion in different fields. By 2020, we aim to collaborate with over 100 colleges for their campus fest.”

realme, also launched the Campus Star Program across 40 colleges and is sponsoring 11 campus fests in leading colleges like IIT Delhi, Sophia College and NIT, Trichy. Through this campaign, realme plans to provide a platform for youth to take a leap and explore their passion.
