Sri Sairam Engineering College in association with ICT Academy organizes Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Innovation Ecosystem Awards – 2017 Power seminar on 8th April 2017 @ Leo muthu indoor auditorium, Sairam campus, Chennai.
The inaugural ceremony started by lighting of kuthu vilaku by the dignitaries the prayer song and welcome dance is performed by the sai ram students. Shri .Sai Prakash Leo muthu, Chairman, CEO , Sairam institutions welcomed the gathering and explained about the Kalam Innovation Seminar as through the social media we received projects more than 1300. Among that 500 were shortlisted and 100 is been selected for the grand finale which is held today and that 3 best projects would be selected in each domain such as ( Agriculture, Manufacturing & technology , water and Environment , energy ) and they would be rewarded prize of Rs. 15,00,000. He thanked the ICT Academy for organizing this grand finale, and asked the students to improve their innovative skills in solving societal problems. The Government of India too is organizing many innovative events for the betterment of students in innovative areas and the students with the help of social media should think widely, wisely and wealthy ( HYPERLINK “http://WWW.).He” WWW.).He also mentioned the graduates in Anna university alone and that the Job market cannot bear this an so the young minds should grab the opportunity and should think out of box with this the students should make our nation a better nation.
Mr. Sivakumar,CEO, ICT Academy in his special address appreciated the sincere effort of Shri Sai Prakash Leo muthu, CEO Sri Sairam group for organizing this grand event and also mentioned that first the outline of this event was not clear but after the narration of innovative projects by the students, they gave their full dedication and now it turned out to be a grand finale. He also mentioned that the youth’s mind is full of depth in general knowledge and magnitude towards their work. And also asked the students community to think and execute innovatively and wished the students
Dr.Kanagaraj, Chairman, Jaya group of Institutions in his speech appreciated the efforts of Sairam group and also it is the role model for all the angering colleges . As he mentioned that the students know about everything and that they must not be under estimated. He mentioned 2 aspects “ innovation and invention” is important in the present scenario. The ionnovation is the change wjhich is made in the existing system and the problems in them society must be given to the students so that they can find the solution.
Shri .Munirathinam, Consortium president, Chairman, RMK Institutions in his inaugural address mentioned that these innovative projects benefits will be tremendous to the society and through this Late.Dr.A.P.J’s dreams will come true. He also mentioned that among 570 colleges in affiliated by the Anna University, Sairam is among the first 10 places and also wished success for the event .
As an Innovative step in encouraging the youth, Late.Dr.A.P.J .Abdul Kalam was virtually appeared before the students and answered their thoughtful questions and also encouraged them to think and execute their thoughts innovatively.
Dr.V.Ponraj, Scientific Advisor to Dr.A.P.J .Abdul Kalam spoke about the various innovations thoughts that can be done by the students for societal problems and he also interacted with Late.Dr.A.P.J virtually.
Dr.Sandhya Chintala, Vice President, NASSCOM and Executive Director- IT- IT es Sector Skills Council, spoke about the innovation and how the software technologies helps in the role of innovation in the software sectors.
The awards and cash prize will be given at the valedictory ceremony which is to be held on 9th April, 2017.
