Velammal to represent India in World School Chess Championship 2017at Russia

New copyFour chess players from Velammal Vidyalaya Master Gukesh D of standard VI, Master Pranav V of standard VI, Master Mendonca Leon Luke of standard VII and Miss Rakshitha Ravi of standard VII have been selected to take part in the World School Chess Championship to be held at Russia after having qualified to the norms of All India Chess Federation (AICF) from 1st June to 9th June 2017. These players have been selected on the basis of “FIDE” rating. Out of ten countries participating from all over the world, Velammal will be representing India at this championship. Velammal is profoundly overwhelmed for the students and is looking forward for a triumphant return. Management expresses their best wishes for the participants to prove their worth on the international arena.
