Chennai, June 20, 2017: The results of the Joint Entrance Examination for entry to the country’s top engineering colleges that were announced last Sunday, yet again validated that the students of State board can also clear JEE and get admission in to top Engineering colleges. These Results are encouraging and strengthen our belief that with proper guidance in right direction, the state board students of Tamilnadu are in no way less prodigious.

R Krishnakanth, Arivoli – 3 year Integrated School program student from FIITJEE Regional secured 462nd rank, Abilash B, Arivoli – 3 year Integrated School program student from FIITJEE Regional has secured 897th rank and Surya Prakash G, Arivuchudar, 4 year Integrated School program student from FIITJEE Regional has secured 1407th rank at All India level.

At Regional Level more than 500 students are qualified from FIITJEE Chennai Centres in JEE- Advanced 2017. 2 students in top 100, 6 students in top 200, 11 students in top 500 and 25 students in top 1000 have secured top ranks at all India level from FIITJEE Chennai Center only.

At National Level more than 4000 FIITJEE students from all programs have qualified JEE Advanced, 2017. FIITJEE students dominate in every range of All India Ranks of JEE Advanced 2017 with 7 in Top 20, 16 in Top 50, 24 in Top 100, 51 in Top 200 AIR. This is the highest number for any institute in the country for 20th consecutive year.

He further added, there is a lack of awareness in Tamilnadu about cracking competitive exams, though caliber and intelligence is high. The students of Tamilnadu have immense potential in academics, but Tamilnadu student’s share in admission to IITs, NITs etc. lags far behind. Only very few students of Samacheer Kalvi Syllabus come forward to take up the training for competitive exams and that is the only reason for less students of stateboard to make it to the top ranks in IIT-JEE. As responsible educators, why don’t we empower the students of Tamilnadu to take that first step with proper guidance and implicit confidence? We have to break the mind set of our students and infuse confidence in them.
