A first of its kind initiative with 24×7 care for patients suffering from Headache, Migraine and Dementia

GSV_1388Chennai 18 July 2017: Apollo Hospitals, Asia’s foremost multi-specialty hospitals group today launched a contemporary initiative in the city – the ‘Apollo Memory and Apollo Headache & Migraine Clinics’.

These specialized clinics located at Apollo Hospitals in Greams Road were inaugurated by Dr. Prathap C Reddy, Chairman, Apollo Hospitals Group. The clinics will be headed by team of highly experienced neurosurgeons and neurologists and they will treat all types of chronic headaches, migraines and dementia (memory loss) and psychological problems. The Apollo Headache & Migraine Clinic will work from 11.00 a.m. – 1.00 p.m. and Apollo Memory Clinic will work from 2.00 p.m. – 4.00 p.m. fromMonday to Saturday.

Speaking at the launch event, Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, Executive Chairman Apollo Hospitals Group, said “According to the Migraine Research Foundation, it has been estimated that Migraine affects one billion people worldwide. The pain caused by migraines can be incapacitating and sometimes even debilitating. The launch of the Apollo Memory and Headache – Migraine Clinics are in keeping with Apollo Hospitals’ commitment to introduce personalized and specialized care for its patients. Several lifestyle behaviours are increasingly making headaches commonplace and many a times, they can severely impact productivity. Many individuals tend to ignore headaches or even self-medicate and this is worrying. We believe that the need of the hour is to assist people in seeking timely medical attention and the launch of these specialized clinics is a step ahead in that direction.”
