Chennai, 18th July, 2017: Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music, Asia’s Premier Institute for Music is conducting a five day camp on Music Production and Performance for aspiring musicians, at its campus from 14th to 18th August 2017. The 5 day camp will provide an exclusive opportunity to learn, interact and practice with the esteemed faculty of Swarnabhoomi Music academy along with some of the world renowned artists and musicians.

The camp will create a platform for the participants to get an expert insight into real time recording, mixing, mastering and performing in a creative and interactive environment. The five day residential camp will focus on the nuances of Music Performance from 14th – 16th august and Music Production from 17th – 18th August.

Distinguished International and Indian artists like Karina – Drums, Gabriel Geszti – Piano, Umayalpuram Mali – Carnatic Percussion and Sreyas Narayanun – Carnatic Voice, Mr. Denis Stern – Guitar, will head the music camp and share knowledge and expertise on a range of subjects imparting practical knowledge, skills and critical industry insights. During the course of 5 days some of the prominent artists from the world of music, such as Mohini Dey, an acclaimed jazz fusion bass player from Mumbai, Ustad Fazal Qureshi – an illustrious tabla player, an expert in world music and Suresh Peter, award winning music composer and rapper will share their vision with the participants.

The camp focuses on classes in contemporary harmony, music theory, composition and arranging, master classes in world music, and ensemble sessions. It also aims at introducing various production courses and broadening the understanding of recording and processing audio in various industries. The students are exposed to recording live musicians and implementing theoretical knowledge into practice. The participants of the camp will have access to technique labs, study material, ensembles and usage of SAM campus facilities. The camp is the perfect way to sample life at SAM and study with both the world class international faculty and highly acclaimed Indian artists.
