FPTA Governing Body to present roadmap on challenges and opportunities in the industry

Chennai, 10th August, 2017: Federation of Paper Traders’ Associations (FPTA), the voice and face of Paper Traders of India is holding their 56th AGM and Conclave between 12th and 14th August 2017 at ITC Grand Chola, Chennai. This event is hosted by The Madras Paper Merchants Association, Chennai.
Hon’ble Minister for Commerce and Industry, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman will inaugurate the conclave in the presence of Mr. Sanjay Singh, CEO- ITC Ltd.,( Paper Boards and Specialty Papers Division), Mr. Saurabh Bangur, President, Indian Paper Manufacturers Association and Vice Chairman of West Coast Paper and Mr. N. Gopalaratnam, Chairman, Seshasayee Paper and Boards Ltd.
With overarching theme, Indian Paper Industry road Map for the year 2030 – Opportunities and Challenges, the conclave will feature technical seminars, Q&A sessions on GST in Paper Industry, sessions on exploring marketing of paper using the digital platform and throw light on the new avenues for increasing paper consumption in India.
The conclave will also aim at creating a platform for paper traders to communicate the eco-friendly production measures undertaken by the paper industry without damaging the ecosystem. On contrary to the misconception that paper destroys the eco-system, the conference will showcase recyclable, bio-degradable and sustainable raw material. A Business lounge will showcase the various grades of paper, paper products and services available in the market.
