Canon Hosts Exclusive Cinema EOS C700 Showcase and Screening for Leading Cinematographers in Chennai

More than 200 DOPs from Tamil Cinema attended the special screening

Chennai, September 24, 2017: Canon, the world leader in imaging technology, today unveiled top-of-the-line model of its Cinema EOS digital cinematography camera, the EOS C700 in association with L.V. Prasad Film & TV Academy, SICA and Codex.

Targeted at motion picture and TV production with resolution up to 4.5K, the camera was showcased as part of a special screening for cinematographers from the Tamil film fraternity. The screening was attended by over 200 professionals on the 23rd and 24th of September.

Some of the most celebrated names who attended the screening included leading Cinematographers like P. C. Sreeram, Rajiv Menon, K. V.Anand, Ravi K.Chandran, amongst others.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kazutada Kobayashi, President and CEO, Canon India Pvt. Ltd, said,“At Canon, we understand the prominence of constant innovation in technology. Canon EOS C700 can shoot up to 4.5K resolution along with 120 fps in 4K and 24 fps in 2K. The camera also comes in EF, PL and PLGS mount with global shutter technology. The dynamic range of camera holds up to 14 stops and 15 stops in two different models of EOS C700.
