Bangalore, November 26, 2017: Fortis Hospitals Bangalore organised a walkathon to raise awareness on organ donation as part of their #moretogive campaign. About 1000 people including organ donors, organ recipients, doctors, hospital staff and general public participated in the walkathon with an aim to support the noble cause of organ donation.

The walkathon was flagged off by former cricketer Syed Kirmani and Dr Vivek Jawali, (Chairman, Department of Cardio Vascular Sciences, Fortis Hospitals, Bangalore) at 7:30 AM from Fortis Hospitals, Bannerghatta road and the group returned to the starting point covering a distance of 3 Km.

The Walkathon is a part of Fortis’ #MoretoGive campaign to encourage a dialogue about the need for organ donation by taking it to the streets of the city where the people show their support for the cause.
