Miss Vaishali Class XI and Master Praganaanandha Class VII of Velammal Main School, Mogappair campus, won Silver Medals and cash Prize of ` 75,000 among contestants from 30 Countries far and wide in the World Youth Chess Olympiad Organized by Gujarat State Chess Olympiad Association 2017, in the open U-16 category held at Ahmedabad. Miss Vaishali was adjudged the best player and was honoured with a Silver Medal.
