SPORTS REHAB CONCLUDES AT A SUCCESSFUL NOTE
New Delhi hosted the second edition of first of its kind sports event ‘Sports Rehab -A Sports Convention’ at Thyagaraj Stadium, INA on the 18th January 2017. Sports Rehab pulled off a show which was at par with most other sporting extravaganzas to have ensued this year.
Sports Rehab was the first attempt by its organisers, they would be taking it to every city and state of India. Sports Rehab announced the launch of India’s first sports based incubator & accelerator.Sports Rehab will focus on following areas for development of sports under its sports incubator & accelerator.

The day long extravaganza was attended by many Arjuna Awardees and Padmashree awardees sports persons, PSU heads, key people from the various sports federations and schools and universities.
Rajpal Singh, Director, FICCI, said that setting the base and culture in sports is very necessary from the grassroots.
“Just like academics, and examination system, sports should be made part of the curriculum and getting marks in sports should also be made necessary rather than an extra curricular activity,” he said.
Adding to the same, Dr. DR Saini, Director DPS Society, said that as the private institution, we try to inculcate the sports culture in children by trying to maintain a balance between study and sports.
He added that there are not much players at school or university levels now days focus is only academics
“Physical education subject was started in 1983 in class 11th and 12th.There is no system or planning at place as such in many schools. There are very few players. Development of anything is from roots. Sports persons are sidelined.,” he said.
Ajit Singh, Director Bisleri said that they are trying to support all sports to their best possibilities mentioning the importance of sponsorship and marketing in the sports sector.
“ At the medium schools, we were forced to study subjects other than sports. Whenever we went to play in inter -state or university level sports competitions, we never got the desired facilities. We understand sponsorship can help to increase the facilities for players,” Singh said.
Sunil Raina, Business Head, Xolo Mobiles, said that the corporate sector are willing to spend and support other sports but there are no set guidelines under CSR.
“Any sport is not about technical aspect. Every sport requires passion and aspiration.We need to make people to come out and play the different sports. We need to create passion and aspiration for sports,” Raina said.

Sports Rehab is the only platform connecting all sports fanatics -anyone and everyone connected to sports for their love for sports in order to promote every sport and focus on a healthy lifestyle by playing and keeping fit. Moreover, it aims to hold activities which will help all those who have the passion for sports in any form to connect, network, recreate, write and share their

Objective for Sports Rehab:
- Sports Rehab is a pan India project under the banner of Satan’s Paradise(SP). Under Sports Rehab-SP aims to bring awareness among the youth,tap schools and university students about the various opportunities available with them in the Sports Industry.
- Sports Rehab will be conducting various activities quarterly in different cities across India with special focus on Tier2,Tier3 &Tier4 cities with its launch on 02,September 2016.
- Satan’s Paradise which is into Sports Marketing and Sports Mangement Sector from past 7years with great expertise into the sector as it has organised more than hundred plus activities including workshops with Colleges, Embassies, High Commissions and Corporate sector in different cities of India.
- Satan’s Paradise, now wantsto channelise all its expertise in the ‘Sports Sector”into creating the “Sports Incubator & Accelerator” which will focus on creating awareness the youth right from the grassroots level about the opportunities available with them. It will also focus on skilling them in a right manner by providing the right mentor ship and guidance. It will be conducting regular practical sessions, workshops and tournaments and maintain their record.
- Satan’s Paradise under its Sports Incubator &Accelerator-also plans to support everyoneand anyone connected to sports in all the possible ways. It will be supporting the players as well as the young budding entrepreneurs who have ideas related to sports and don’t know how to go about it.
- Under its vision document, Satan’s Paradise aims to largely work on improving the Industry Scenario. It aims to bridge the gap between the participation of women in sports and try to focus on Sports & Gender Empowering Women & Girls. It would be creating and providing job opportunities to students, players, athletes and women who usually have to make a choice between choosing their career in sports.
- SP would be conducting special workshops, training camps and tournaments to promote participation of women in the sports as sports will help to keep
them healthy and fit. SP would focus on creating special IP’s that will at large be catering to the cause of improving women health and fitness.
- SP envisions to create a platform for all sport lover andtap the untapped talents available in the country and also help them to make their career in Sports
and earn a living by following their passion for Sports. SP would first be training them and then employ these sportsmen win their own ventures.
- SP is trying to fill the gap that exists in terms of awareness of the vast potential in the sector from the grass root level and setting the right mindset for the Sports as an Industry by providing right training and practical exposure to everyone under them.
- SP is working towards and to create awareness and formulate a campaign spread over a period of 2 years to stress upon providing enclosed infrastructure
facilities like parks and playgrounds to play for the common people and children so that they don’t make roads their playground and road safety can be maintained.
It is a very common scene that due to lack of these facilities and spaces, people make roads as their playgrounds causing accidents to occur.
