The Forum Vijaya Mall hosted ‘The 3rd Edition of Junior Chef Champ 2019’
Chennai, June 2019: The Forum Vijaya Mall hosted ‘The 3rd Edition of Junior Chef Champ 2019’ for the children between 7 to 15 years of age to showcase their culinary skill at the two day cook-off event held on 22nd & 23rd June. The shortlisted 20 participants from the prelims, battled in the grand finale.
Every dynamic chef was in action at chef’s cooking stations which were fully equipped with ingredients and spices. It was a fun-filled culinary challenge in which the young culinarians had an hour to create a full course meal, brainstormed, prepared, cooked and presented to the judges for sampling.
The judges were celebrity chef Venkatesh Bhat, CEO of Accord Hotels & Resorts along with Chef Deepesh, Hotel ID Sathyam observed and tasted all of the food at the cook-off and praised those finalists for their work creativity, inspiration and story behind the dishes. The winners were awarded 1 lakh worth of gift vouchers and trophies. All contestants received a participation certificate in recognition and appreciation.

Winner: HASINI (Gulkand Lassi, Sprouts Paratha, Dry Fruits Paratha, Ellu Balls,Sprouts Vada)
1st Runner up: SAI SRINIVSAN (Millet Bisibellabath, Dry Fruit Laddu)
2nd Runner up: VAISHALI (Coconut Milk Rice, Carrot Halwa)
Special Mention: JHANVI (Veg Wrap, Choco Banana, Spicy Paneer)
CAT B (11-15 age group)
Winner: REHAN AHMED (Goan Vegetable, Cladin with Coconut Milk Rice, Bread Custard)
1st Runner up: NIVEDITHA (Mango Rice, Nannari Sarbath, Paayasam, Raitha)
2nd Runner up: SUDHARSHAN – (Kootan Choru)
