Kara Movie Review by MATHIOLI RAJAA

“Kara” Movie Produced by Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh, Co Produced By: Kushmitha Ganesh under the banner of Vels Film International, Directed by Vignesh Raja, Music by GV Prakash Kumar, Starring by Dhanush, Mamitha Baiju, K.S. Ravikumar, Karunas, Jayaram, Prithvi Pandiarajan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, M.S. Baskar, Sreeja Ravi & Others.

Dhanush and Prithvi Pandiarajan go to rob MLAs’ houses in the very first scene of the film. Dhanush alone gets caught, and Police Cop Suraj Venjaramoodu, who is a senior officer at the police station where he’s taken, plans to file multiple cases against Dhanush just to gain publicity for himself.

After knowing this, Dhanush beats up Suraj, escapes from there, and goes to Renigunta where he starts living with his wife Mamitha Baiju whom he loves. But hardship doesn’t leave him alone, so he decides to start a mess. Because of this, he returns to his hometown and asks his father, K.S. Ravikumar, to sell the land and give him the money. Only then does he find out that his father has already mortgaged the land with the bank to buy a tractor.

At one point, the bank seizes the land for the loan they had taken, and K.S. Ravikumar passes away. When the bank refuses to let Dhanush bury his father on his own land, and with circumstances closing in on him from all sides, the rest of the story follows the bold decisions Dhanush then takes.

Dhanush has lived the role of Karasaamy. Running away from home at a young age, failing to succeed in life, earning through wrong means just to survive, then coming back to his father and breaking down in despair, and later taking to the field for his father after he passes away — as usual, Dhanush has delivered a mix of emotion and action.

K.S. Ravikumar, as Dhanush’s father, is so natural you’d go “wow, is that really him?” Karunas, Prithvi — everyone has delivered excellent performances. The scene where Suraj, who has waited for years thinking “when will you get caught,” finally steps in to nab Dhanush is excellent presentation.

The first half of the film runs as an emotional drama until the bank heist begins. It’s hard to say how much this will appeal to commercial audiences because it moves so slowly. Since Dhanush is a thief, the director spends the first hour trying to justify his side, and it’s unclear if that will connect with everyone.

While the first half moves slowly, the plan that Dhanush, Prithvi, and Karunas make to rob the bank, followed by the scenes of them entering the bank and what happens there, are all applause-worthy moments for the audience.

The second half moves briskly with back-to-back bank robbery scenes, the plan laid out by Jayaram, Suraj’s hunt for the robbers, and how Dhanush escapes from all this to complete his duty. But, you can’t look for logic here. His experienced acting in the field scenes of this intense film has really helped. Like a commercial hero, the routine hero fights for the people — the climax was handled well, just like the rest of the film.

The consequences of the current war were already faced by people back in the 1990s. The film shows how loan providers cheat uneducated people. The way they depicted the Thevar Magan shooting draws attention, and similarly, the scene where Dhanush wields the large sickle that Kamal Haasan used in the final scene is very striking.

Technically, since the Theni Eswar’s camera work depicts events set in 1990, even though many scenes used sets, they’ve captured it and presented it realistically great workfrom Mayapandi. G.V.’ Prakash s music — both the songs and the background score — feels like something special it’s merged with the movie take the feels to some other level all the songs used for montage it’s so apta to movie.

Even though the film _Kara_ features top-tier stars, everyone shines purely as their characters. In this struggle for the affected farming community, the hero who is a thief ultimately achieves victory. Likewise, this film too secures a massive success. Hats off to director Vignesh Raja.
