From Madurai to the Silver Screen — Eesha, the New Hero Introduced Through Habeebi!

Born and raised in Madurai, Eesha has transitioned from being an accomplished athlete to making his debut as a lead actor in the Tamil film industry. He has been introduced as a hero on the silver screen through Habeebi, directed by Meera Kathiravan.

From a young age, Eesha showed a keen interest in athletics and went on to become a two-time Tamil Nadu State High Jump Champion. During his college years in Chennai, he won several inter-collegiate gold medals in both High Jump and Triple Jump events and consistently reached the finals in national-level university competitions.

With the discipline, dedication, and mental strength he gained through sports, Eesha began his journey in cinema as well. He worked as an assistant director in Uyir Thamizhukku, directed by Adham Bava and starring actor Ameer. This experience allowed him to learn the intricacies of filmmaking firsthand and laid a strong foundation for his artistic career.

Adding to his achievements, Eesha is also pursuing a degree in Law at Vels University, Chennai.

A major breakthrough came with Habeebi. In the film, Eesha portrays three distinctly different characters and underwent significant physical transformations for the role. Demonstrating remarkable commitment, he first reduced his body weight, then gained nearly 20 kilograms, and later shed the weight again to suit the varying demands of the characters.

After watching the preview of Habibi, several leading filmmakers—including Mari Selvaraj, Sudha Kongara, Balaji Sakthivel, Ameer, Cheran, Sasikumar, Vetrimaaran, Mysskin, Seenu Ramasamy, K. Bhagyaraj, Magizh Thirumeni, Suseenthiran, Nassar, P. C. Sreeram, jPandiraj, Aslam, Pa. Ranjith, Ram, V. Z. Durai, Thangar Bachan, and Suresh Kamatchi—praised Eesha’s natural performance, emotional depth, and unwavering dedication to his character.
