On the eve of 3rd International yoga day, Mahamaharishi Foundation Mahayogam & University of Madras jointly organized a guinness world record attempt by performing a Yoga Marathon for 55 hours continuously which started on Monday 19.06.2017 7.30 am at University of Madras Campus.
A group of Mahayogam practitioners are about to perform 37 members including 7 ladies 2000 asanas in a cyclic manner for 55 hours continuously without food and sleep.
Mahayogam practitioners have already entered into “LIMCA BOOK OF RECORDS” by performing 32 hours non-stop yoga in 2015. In 2016, Ranjana Rishi of mahayogam created a “GUINNESS WORLD RECORD” by doing continuous yoga for 57 hours. This year (2017), a differently – abled person of mahayogam has entered into the INDIAN BOOK OF RECORDS for performing yoga.
This grand event organized to show the power of India’s Tradition-Yoga world and to create an awareness among the people about yoga.
The Valedictory ceremony is presided by Shri. T. Hari Paranthaman, Rtd, Justice High Court Chennai, endedup the record by giving fruit juice to the Guinness Record Paticipants, Followed by the valedictory ceremony with our soecial guests Dr.Santhosh Babu I.A.S., Mr.Amalraj Poojari I.P.S., M.Balasubramaniyan, Chairman NASSCOM GIC, Dr.C.Thirupathi M.D., MMC, A.Radhika I.P.S., Dr.R.S.Heemeshwari N.D.,M.Sc., (Yoga) and other dignitories. This Ceremony ended with Vote of Thanks by Dr.K.P.Dhayanidhi, Treasurer Maha Maharishi Foundation.
