British Council Summer School brings to Chennai an array of fascinating activities for young learners this Summer

The British Council Summer School engaged with 1400 students in Chennai last year through multiple, captivatingactivities and is back this year to make summer vacations fun. There are courses on offer for children from 7-14 years that train them with new life skills, engagement activities all along learning English and becoming globally equipped English language speakers. 
 
The themes for the summer school this year are: Explorers (through a virtual trip around the world, children will travel to one city each day, learn about different cultures, develop language skills and build confidence) and Media Magic (children will explore communication channels such as the radio, television and the internet. They learn how to write blogs, create an advertisement and newspaper report). For over 75 years, the British Council, the world’s English experts have been delivering high-quality English courses to learners around the world and children will be under the guidance of internationally-qualified teachers during Summer School.
 
The British Council Summer School 2018 has courses that will make summer holidays for these “Young Learners’ all about discovering their inner creativity – through a mix of games, projects, drama, elocution and various communication activities.The programme also encourages students to interact in pairs, small groups and whole class situations, improving their English fluency and confidence.The British Council believes that students learn a language best when they are having fun and using English in a context that is meaningful for them. These concepts are applied through a cycle of learning, practicing, revising and performing, to make learning fun, promoting learning from peers and teachers. The summer school encourages freedom of expression during interactive sessions in an extremely safe and conducive environment for kids.
 
Summer School is organised in four batches: for children aged 7 – 8 years, 9 – 10 years, 11 – 12 years and 13 – 14 years. The first batch of Summer School 1: Explorers will begin on 30 April 2018, and end on 18 May 2018, and the second batch Summer School 2: Media Magic will begin on 21 May 2018 and end on 01 June 2018The course duration is 30 hours on weekdays.
