G.K. Vasan, who broke away from the Congress a few weeks back and has said that the name of the party, its flag and ideologies would be revealed at the upcoming conference in Trichy on 28th November, has revealed that the design of the proposed flag would be disclosed in advance today (26th November) in Chennai.

Speaking at a function in Mylapore wherein an audio CD containing songs for the party’s propaganda was released, Vasan said “Ever since I announced plans to float a new party, I have been receiving support from various quarters. People from all walks of life have expressed their support.

The Trichy conference would witness an attendance of lakhs and lakhs of party cadres and volunteers. “We will introduce the party flag which would be carried by the cadres at the Conference. Ours would be a party which would take care and work for the welfare of the working class and labourers.

We shall always reflect their needs and aspirations. I have received many suggestions as the name of our party; the finalized name, which would have the consent of the Election Commission of India, would be revealed at the Trichy conference. “We shall continue to strive for securing the rights of the people and would pave way for a new and refreshing political culture,” Vasan concluded.
