QUAID-E-MILLATH Govt. College for Women – ICITR 2015

DSCN3210The Department of computer science in Quaid-e-Millath Government College for Women (Autonomous),  a premier institution located in the heart of Chennai city, imparting quality education and serving the cause of women’s education conducted Two days International Conference titled Second International Conference on Innovations in Contemporary IT research on 6th  and 7th of February 2015. This conference is the first of its kind among the Government Colleges in Tamil Nadu.

 

The conference was inaugurated on 6th February 2015 at 9:00 a.m. by Dr. M. Devadass, Director(FAC),      Directorate of Collegiate Education, Chennai, The Vice Chancellor, University of Madras, Prof.R. Thandavan along with the Chief Guests Dr. R. Jaganathan, Former Vice Chancellor, Middle East University, United Arab Emirates and Dr. Pinnamaneni Bhanu Prasad, Director(R&D) Kelenn Technology, as the Dignitaries.

 

This conference plays a vital roles in various fields of information Technology, with the eminent Resource person’s informative and thought provoking speech from International and National level to full fill the thrust towards knowledge sharing among the Researchers, Academicians and Industrialists. It also provides a premier forum for the dissemination of innovative practical development, sharing research and experience based knowledge among Researchers.

 

Around 132 papers from both National and International level were received, with our expertise peer review team’s analysis 14 International and 82 National level papers were chosen and published in the conference proceeding. Around 315 participants from various Institutions and Industries actively participated in the conference ICITR 2015. The technical sessions includes paper presentations by participants in eight categories in different sessions with intellectual chair persons.

 

The Valediction on 7th February 2015 at 4:30 p.m. was highlighted by Mr. Rajan T. Joseph, Director (Education), Computer Society of India, and Dr. Natarajan Gajendran, Editor, Indian Journal of Science and Technology. Certificates were distributed to the participants. The conference ended up with valuable information relating to the recent Research trends and served multipurpose requirements in the field of Computer Science and Technology.and serving the cause of women’s education, with the view of future employment
