HelpAge India, on the eve of UN recognized ‘International Youth Day’ (August 12) in association with Madras School of Social Work celebrated at Madras School of Social Work. HelpAge India pushed forth the importance of inter-generational bonding through its HUG – Help Unite Generations campaign.

Emphasizing the need for love, care, respect and friendship between both the young and old

The campaign was re launched by chief guest, Thiru. G. Ramakrishnan I.A.S. Former State Information Commissioner & Dr. Christina T. Dorothy, Assistant Director, Social Welfare and Women Empowerment, Dr.S. Raja Samuel, Principal – Madras School of Social Work addressed the gathering about importance of the Intergenerational Bonding.

Students weared HUG Band to elders and taken pledge of the day and perfomed Street Play for take care elders by younger generation.
