Chennai, Oct 7: The Association of Management of Private Schools (AMPS) hosted an Expo and a Conclave, a significant event designed to foster dialogue, innovation, and collaboration within the private education sector.

The Association recognizes the crucial role that policy decisions play in the functioning of private schools. This expo aimed at bridging the gap between education policymakers and school management, fostering an environment of collaboration and shared vision.

The Conclave brought together educators, policymakers, and thought leaders to explore key issues and charter the course for the future of education in the State of Tamil Nadu. This prestigious event aimed to shape the vision of education in Tamil Nadu and foster collaboration between educators, policymakers, and stakeholders for the smooth functioning of schools.

The Expo was inaugurated by Dr G Viswananthan, Founder and Chancellor, VIT University. Educational suppliers and service providers showcased their offerings, providing schools with access to cutting-edge resources and technologies.

A mammoth showcase of innovations to explore innovative products and services was offered by educational suppliers and solution providers which was a true delight to watch through the stalk walk.

Honourable Education Minister, Thiru Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi address the gathering through a video where he appreciated the AMPS team to have organized such a knowledge sharing event.

This kind of an Expo will bring educationalist, parents and students together where they understand how education is more important for the growth of technology, he mentioned a famous quote by Alexander De Croo “Every industrial revolution brings along a learning revolution”.

When we see the growth of technology by the education system, parents and the students should not be pressurized by the steady growth. As our Honourable CM, Thiru MK Stalin says students should be focused only on studies with out any distractions. We will always strive to make Tamil Nadu the top state for education and support the education system.

The Conclave Keynote Address was delivered by Dr G Viswanathan, Founder and Chancellor, VIT University. My Vision for Education in Tamil Nadu was brilliantly delivered by the Chancellor to address the evolving needs of private schools featuring a range of engaging activities with support from policy makers. Dr G Viswanathan mentioned that the Education system and infrastructure should improve more and the teachers to be trained and handled with more respect. India stands much lower in terms of education when compared to the other smaller countries like South Korea who is preforming tremendously ahead us. Their quality of education and the equality in attaining knowledge make them grow bigger. When the free education scheme is implied in a Nation then we can foresee the nation developing at a great pace.

Today, in a celebration of education’s transformative power, we proudly unveiled “The Voice of AMPS: The Path Forward.” This captivating souvenir made its debut at the AMPS Edu Expo and Conclave 2023, a prestigious gathering of educators, experts, and education sector stakeholders. This remarkable keepsake provides a glimpse into its pages, which are filled with inspiring stories, cutting-edge ideas, and a shared vision for shaping the future of education.

This souvenir goes beyond the boundaries of traditional publications, resonating deeply with those who believe in the transformative power of education. Its release marks a significant milestone in our ongoing mission to enhance and revolutionize education, ensuring that learners worldwide have access to opportunities that will shape their future.

Distinguished speakers for various panel discussions (Heartfelt Conversations) provided insights on trends and challenges shaping the educational landscape. These expert panels deliberated on crucial topics such as Challenges in Implementing NEP 2020, Educational Policy and Advocacy and Unplugging the Digital Drama in Classrooms. To name a few, they were Mr K V Ramani and Dr Jamshed Bharucha, Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor, Sai University respectively, Mr L V Navaneeth, CEO, The Hindu Group, and Lt Col Sekar, Principal, Hyderabad Public School. Brilliant Moderators like, Mr Sashi Kumar, Founder, Asian College of Journalism and Ms Shivakami Ravi, Practice Head, Cohere Consultants moderated these meaningful discussions to develop strategies for enhancing the education system in Tamil Nadu. The Conclave closed with the Commissioner of Greater Chennai Corporation, Dr J Radhakrishnan delivering the Valedictory Address and Mrs Manasa T Pillai, Trustee, Vailankanni Group, proposing the Vote of Thanks.

Besides the Conclave, there were day-long Seminars for the attendees to participate in hands-on workshops aimed at enhancing teaching methodologies and administrative practices. No Conclave is complete without Networking Opportunities. With more than 1500 registrations, the EDUEXPO-Conclave facilitated connection with peers, exchange of ideas, and building partnerships to strengthen the private education sector.
