Ricoh India launches eco-friendly Multifunction Printer series

 Chennai, September 21, 2015: Ricoh India Ltd. a leader in the field of printing & document management, IT Services & Communication Solutions today announced the launch of their new A3 Multifunction printer series,MP 2014/ 2014D/ 2014AD. Ricoh is already the market leader in copier based Multifunction Printers (MFPs) in India and these newlylaunchedmodel will help Ricoh to expand the market and further strengthen its leadership in the industry.

According to IDC, Ricoh is No 1 in Copier based Laser MFP market, with a market share of 25.18% in H1 of 2015. In Copier-based Laser Colour MFP, Ricoh is already the undisputed market leader, with a market share of 35.47%.

Speaking on the occasion, Manoj Kumar, Managing Director and CEO, Ricoh India said, “Indian small and midsize businesses (SMBs) is growing at a CAGR of over 15%.With introduction of this new series, we plan to expand the market in entry level A3 market segment. These models are ideal for SMB and Government sector, as well as small work group device in large enterprises. These models will also help us to strengthen our strategy to focus on smaller cities. We believe Tier-II and Tier-III cities offer significant business opportunity.”

The Ricoh MP 2014/ MP 2014D/ MP 2014AD is an A3 black-and-white MFP with an output speed of 20ppm, providing maximum efficiency for document processing in the office. The printers are affordable, with economical initial cost as well as low operating expenses. The MFP comes equipped with superior features such as ID card scan function, ie scans both sides onto a single image file which saves time and money, short-cut keys to perform specific tasks quickly, scan to e-mail / folder with optional network card, stored print to easily store and print standardised format and special documents as and when needed. The MFP also has multiple toner line-up that the customer can choose based on their print volumes.What is unique to the new MFP series is the eco-friendly feature, with an Energy Saving Key that allows the device to go into sleep-mode, reducing energy consumption. Automatic Document Feeder (ARDF)makes the MP 2014ADmore cost-effective as it speeds up copying and scanning.

 Ricoh India today has a channel partner network of around 4000 across the country, selling Laser Printers and Multi-Function Products, Projectors, IT Solutions and Cameras. The newly launched MFP series will help Ricoh to further strengthen the channel base and achieve their aggressive expansion plans.
