Valentunes is an annual event by Iris Events where music lovers celebrate Valentines Day and vie for top honours.
This year’s edition, sponsored by Style One got off to a pulsating, exciting and foot-tapping start with over 120 music enthusiasts turning out for the auditions. Held at Style One showroom in Pondy Bazaar on Valentine’s Day, it provided a live on-stage platform for budding musicians to showcase their talent.
The afternoon got off to a high voltage start with special guest Srilekha Parthasarathy singing her debut number ‘yedho yedho’ . At the conclusion of this unique music-fest 10 women and 10 men walked away with the top honours, fabulous prizes and a song on their lips.
The event was supported by the popular band “Satrangi” fronted by Promod who rendered classic and modern favourites in both Hindi as well as Tamil. Renowned vocalists Sujith, Promod and Dr.Mohan who constituted the jury couldn’t resist enthralling the gathering with special numbers that ensured a memorable day of music.
Ms Anitha Kuppuswamy the other special guest of the evening enthralled the judged the final round and awarded prizes to the winners along with Ms Hemalatha vinod- Director of Style One who was visibly impressed by the quality and professionalism of the contestants.
