Aadhirai (Poornima Ravi) is a young woman whose boyfriend, Santhosh (Sai Prasanna), encourages her to pursue higher education and career advancement. Aadhirai dreams of joining BITS Pilani, and the couple aspires to be together forever. However, their plans are put to the test when Aadhirai’s father (the late Delhi Ganesh) suffers a stroke, forcing her to confront the harsh realities of life and financial struggles.
Meanwhile, Aadhirai is unable to follow her lover’s advice and is forced to take up a soul-sucking bank job to make ends meet. As a result, her boyfriend Santhosh breaks up with her and marries another woman, which deeply affects Aadhirai. However, she finds some solace in conversations with her ailing father. Life unfolds in the present, and she begins to find clarity.
Realizing that all she has left are memories, Aadhirai decides to visit her childhood friend Jenny (Namitha Krishnamurthy) in Kerala without informing anyone at home. There, she meets Jenny and is shown the harsh realities of life by her friend. Jenny gives Aadhirai a scooter and advises her to find her other friends, helping Aadhirai gain a new perspective on life.
Aadhirai embarks on a journey from Kochi to Varkala, where she meets a variety of colorful characters, including Sai (Vaibhav Murugesan), a man who claims to be on his final trip. Unbeknownst to her, Sai is the same person who had angrily ignored her phone calls regarding unpaid EMI dues for a bike she had bought from the bank. Along with Sai, Aadhirai continues her search for Chotta, a man from her childhood, and a woman she once considered family. What unfolds next on this journey of self-discovery is the rest of the story.
Poornima Ravi shines in the lead role, carrying the entire film on her shoulders with a captivating emotional performance. Vaibhav Murugesan complements her as Sai, bringing a sense of realism to his portrayal, which perfectly complements Aadhirai’s character.
The ensemble cast, including Sai Prasanna, Leela Samson, Namitha Krishnamurthy, Director Prabhu Solomon, Vinodhini Vaidyanathan, Vigneshwar, Loki, Ajay, and the late veteran actor Delhi Ganesh, all bring depth to the narrative with their respective roles, enriching the screenplay.
