The Rajasaab Movie Review by MATHIOLI RAJAA

“The Rajasaab” movie produced by TG Vishwa Prasad, Krithi Prasad under the banner of People Media Factory, Directed by Maruthi, Music by Thaman S, Starring by Prabhas, Sanjay dutt, Boman Irani, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, Zarina Wahab, VTV Ganesh, Samuthirakani & Many Others.

Rajasab (Prabhas) shares a heartwarming bond with his grandmother, Gangamma (Zarina Wahab), who is struggling with Alzheimer’s disease. Despite her fading memories, Gangamma’s love for her husband, Kanagaraju (Sanjay Dutt), who disappeared under mysterious circumstances, remains strong. She repeatedly requests Raju to find her husband, who often appears in her dreams, and bring him back to her, sparking a journey that will change their lives forever.

Raju’s search for his grandfather Kanagaraju leads him to Hyderabad, where he leaves his friend (Riddhi Kumar) in charge of caring for his grandmother. In Hyderabad, Raju meets a nun (Niddhi Agerwal) and finds himself drawn to her. But his life becomes more complicated with the arrival of Bhairavi (Malavika Mohanan), who brings a new dynamic to his journey.

Raju’s quest for his grandfather leads him, Bhairavi, and his friends to a mysterious palace in the Narsapur forest. However, what awaits them is a terrifying revelation – Kanagaraju is deceased and now roams as a vengeful spirit. As Raju unravels the mystery, he uncovers his grandfather’s sinister past, his supernatural abilities, and the insatiable greed that defined his life. Kanagaraju’s malevolent spirit hypnotizes Raju and his friends, rendering them helpless against his dark will.

The fateful encounter between Raju and Kanagaraju unfolds in a thrilling narrative. But who exactly is Kanagaraju, and what drives him? What dark secrets from his past continue to haunt him? Meanwhile, Rajasaab’s life becomes more complex with the arrival of three intriguing women – Bhairavi (Malavika Mohanan), Blessy (Niddhi Agerwal), and Anitha (Riddhi Kumar). As their stories intertwine, the mystery deepens. Watch to uncover the truth behind Kanagaraju’s sinister intentions and the roles these women play in Raju’s life.

Prabhas delivers a delightful performance in a comedic role, showcasing his impressive timing and versatility. He successfully breaks away from his typical larger-than-life characters and demonstrates his range in character-driven scenes and humor. His nuanced acting is particularly noteworthy in the hospital sequence in the second half, where he shines with a standout performance.

Sanjay Dutt shines in the well-crafted character of Kanagaraju, delivering a performance that is both effortless and compelling. His portrayal of a ghost, with its various VFX-driven manifestations, adds a much-needed layer of depth and intensity to the story.

The three lead actresses, Malavika Mohanan, Niddhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar, add to the film’s visual charm. Malavika and Niddhi are largely utilized for their glamour quotient, with Malavika also showcasing her action skills in a fight sequence. Riddhi Kumar, on the other hand, has a relatively minor role with limited screen time.

Zarina Wahab shines as Prabhas’s grandmother, bringing a sense of serenity and dignity to her role while creating a poignant emotional connection with the audience. She steals the show in the climax. Boman Irani delivers a memorable performance in his short but impactful role. The comedians, including Sathya, Prabhas’s friend Sreenu, and VTV Ganesh, provide some entertainment, although their humor is somewhat formulaic. Meanwhile, the supporting actors, such as Samuthirakani, “Rangasthalam” Mahesh, and Sapthagiri, are well-utilized in their respective roles.

The film’s technical aspects are noteworthy, with Thaman’s music and background score and Karthik Palani’s cinematography being significant strengths. However, the editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao could be more precise, as the pacing feels sluggish at times. The visual effects, on the other hand, are a highlight of the film.

Director Maruthi’s choice of a distinctive horror narrative is commendable. However, his enthusiasm to present the story on a grand scale seems to have overshadowed the screenplay. The film’s suspense and horror elements are somewhat effective, particularly in the scenes where the characters venture into the palace in the Narsapur forest. These moments are tense and manage to leave a lasting impact.

The Rajasaab Movie is a comedy-horror fantasy film that strikes the right chord with its audience, offering a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Fans of Prabhas will love the film.
