In the rural outskirts of Madurai, a traditional game of skill and bravery, Goat Fight, is a test of strength and endurance for both men and animals. Participants train their rams to fight each other, with the ultimate goal of knocking down their opponents. The Goat Fight organization, led by the ruthless Vasthavi (Madusudhan Rao), governs this brutal sport, where men wager their pride and reputation on the outcome.
Kaabra Karthi (Ridhaan Krishnas), Vasthavi’s brother-in-law, exudes confidence and arrogance, thanks to the unmatched success of his goat, Anugundu, in the Goat Fight circuits of Madurai and its surrounding villages. The goat’s dominance has earned Karthi a coveted prize, a prestigious chain known as Jockey, which he flaunts with pride, further amplifying his inflated ego.
In the thrilling finale of the Goat Fight competition in Usilampatti, Kaabra Karthi’s goat, Anugundu, reigns supreme, vanquishing its opponents and securing the coveted Jockey chain for Karthi. Just as the competition concludes, Ramar (Yuvan Krishna), an share auto driver, arrives at the venue, albeit late. Upon arrival, Ramar is met with mockery from Kaabra Karthi, who takes advantage of Ramar’s humble mode of transportation. Undeterred, Ramar, a die-hard goat fight enthusiast, decides to put an end to Karthi’s taunts by proposing a duel between his goat, Kali, and Karthi’s prized Anugundu. Karthi, unwilling to back down and risk losing face, agrees to the challenge.
With his pride on the line, Kaabra Karthi agrees to the duel. The two goats, Kali and Anugundu, clash in the arena, engaging in a fierce battle that spans 17 intense rounds. In the end, Kali emerges victorious, breaking one of Anugundu’s horns and claiming the coveted Jockey title for Ramar. Karthi’s defeat ignites a deep-seated fury within him, which gradually transforms into a malevolent wrath.
Consumed by shame and anger, Kaabra Karthi orchestrates a sinister plan against Ramar. However, fate takes an unexpected turn when Ramar inadvertently causes the demise of Karthi’s beloved goat, Anugundu. Determined to exact revenge, Karthi announces a high-stakes goat fight competition in Othakadai, a village in Madurai, and issues a challenge to Ramar. The terms of the competition are clear: the loser will surrender their goat to the winner, a prospect that emboldens Karthi and puts Ramar’s skills to the test.
In a shocking turn of events, Kaabra Karthi’s new goat emerges victorious against Kali, leaving Ramar’s goat injured and helpless. As Karthi gloats over his victory and claims Kali as his own, Ramar and his family are left reeling in despair. But when Ramar learns that Karthi’s actions were premeditated and designed to crush him, he becomes incensed and stands up to Karthi, refusing to back down.
The prolonged humiliation fuels Kaabra Karthi’s anger, and he begins to threaten Ramar’s family, leading to a violent confrontation. The village elders, determined to put an end to the bitter feud, propose a final goat fight competition between the two men. The stakes are high, and the outcome will decide the fate of their rivalry. Will Ramar emerge victorious, or will Kaabra Karthi’s thirst for revenge be quenched? The rest of the story unfolds from here.
