In a mysterious village on the outskirts of Tamil Nadu, a 10-year-old girl is brutally murdered in a ritualistic manner, with her heart being stolen. Police officer Dhileepan and Singam Puli are tasked with investigating the murder case. Meanwhile, Ananthu Nag, his wife Aparna, and their two deaf children, son Master Ghanshyam and daughter Sandrea, move to their ancestral home in Tamil Nadu from London. When Ananthu Nag requests Gaja Raja, the village head, to arrange for agricultural work, an unknown old woman (Vadivukarasai) enters the ancestral home, causing old woman to faint.
Without knowing who she is, Aparna brings the old woman inside and lays her down. After a while, Gaja Raja, the village head, gazes intently at the old woman and warns Ananthu Nag not to let her stay in the house, but Ananthu tries to help the old woman. Meanwhile, Police Officer Dileepan’s intense investigation into the murder uncovers a dark secret about an old woman named Ochayi. It turns out that this old woman is the same one who is currently in Ananthu’s house. When Dileepan learns this, he rushes to Ananthu’s house, accompanied by his men. Gaja Raja also arrives at Ananthu’s house with his own men.
Meanwhile, Ananthu Nag discovers the dark secret about the old woman and is shocked. The old woman is revealed to be Ochayi, who is hell-bent on killing Ananthu Nag’s children. What happens next? Who is Ochayi, and what’s her backstory? The rest of the story unfolds in a thrilling and chilling manner, keeping you on the edge of your seat.
Vadivukarasai’s performance as Ochayi is a masterclass in intensity, with her makeup and facial expressions expertly crafted to evoke a sense of fear in the audience. The makeup artist’s skillful work is particularly noteworthy, bringing out the character’s menacing features with eerie precision. The result is a truly unsettling presence on screen.
The child actors, Master Ghanshyam and Baby Sandrea, have delivered impressive performances, perfectly capturing the fear and anxiety on their faces.
