A married couple is brutally murdered, with the killers taking the woman’s talisman and the man’s loincloth. As similar murders follow, the police launch an intense investigation. Athiyamaan (Samuthirakani), deemed incompetent, discovers crucial clues but keeps them to himself. Humiliated by superiors, he submits his resignation letter. However, a new inspector, a woman officer (Shivada), arrives and, learning of Athiyamaan’s skills, appoints him lead investigator on the case.

Athiyamaan takes on the challenge and discovers the killers are from Andhra. He informs the inspector, and they intensify the investigation. The web series thrillingly unfolds whether they manage to catch the culprits in this gripping chase.

Despite their lack of cooperation, he cleverly tracks down the culprits, leading to thrilling moments. In a shocking twist, they visit the killers’ home, unaware of their true identities, and share a meal. The tension builds as the killers realize they’re being hunted and prepare to strike, leaving Samuthirakani and constable Pulipandi in a life-threatening situation.

Shivada, playing the police inspector, comes across as too soft. She could’ve added more intensity and urgency to her role. A firmer gaze and fewer smiles would’ve strengthened her character. The villains, Raj Tirandas and Prem, are menacing, especially Raj, whose eyes scream murder.

Ajey Krishna produced the web series ‘Thadayam’, a thrilling ride streaming on ZEE5. The cinematography by K.K. is captivating, and Vipin Bhaskar’s score brings the scenes to life. Dineshkumar’s editing is spot on, keeping the pace tight.

Director Naveen Kumar Palanivel has expertly crafted the web series based on a true incident from the 90s. He creates a tense atmosphere from the moment the killers appear, maintaining the suspense till the very end.
