Director Vikram Kumar, who recently helmed Suriya-starrer 24, got engaged to 27-year old sound designer Srinidhi Venkatesh on Sunday at a private ceremony in Chennai.

Vikram who has been riding a wave since the release of Suriya’s 24, had firmed up his relationship during the making of the film.  Srinidhi works as a sound engineer with A R Rahman.

The duo plans to tie the knot in September. Vikram is likely to take a long break from projects until the wedding, and is likely to start working on his next film with Allu Arjun from October or November.

Only a couple of days ago, popular playback singer Benny Dayal has tied the knot with model-actor girlfriend Catherine Thangam.

The 32-year-old hitmaker’s marriage has been confirmed by music director Vishal Dadlani, who shared on Twitter a photo of himself with the newly-weds from the wedding venue.
