The Egmore Court has issued an arrest warrant against Trisha and her mom Uma Krishnan, in connection with a defamation case filed by the latter. Uma Krishnan had filed a defamation suit against a magazine in 2005, for allegedly publishing some obscene pictures of her daughter.

Both Trisha and her mother didn’t appear in the court whenever the case came up for hearing, and so the magistrate has issued an arrest warrant against them if they do not appear in in court.
