• BSNL Tamilnadu Circle has earned an operational profit of Rs.82.31 crores for the year 2015-16 as against the operational profit of 51.39 crores in the year 2014-15.

Unlimited Free Calling Facility – SUNDAY IS FUN-DAY

 

BSNL has already introduced “Free Night Calling” from 09.00 p.m. to 07.00 a.m., to any network for BSNL landline customers.  In addition to this, now BSNL has announced Sunday Unlimited free calling from BSNL Landline to any network, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, w.e.f. 15.08.2016. This will enable the landline customers to continuously be in touch with their near and dear for 34-hours “Non-stop” from 09.00 p.m. of Saturday to 07.00 a.m. on Monday.  The offer is available pan-India. 

 

Experience Land line 49/- per month: A Triple Bonanza

 

• BSNL has announced a new landline scheme for just Rs.49 per month as FMC for a limited period offer of 3 months with no installation charges. After 6 months, the connections under this scheme will be migrated to General Plan.

 

• Unlimited free night calling and Sunday free calling facilities are applicable for this scheme.
• A prepaid BSNL mobile SIM Card will be offered free of cost under this scheme.
• Tamilnadu Circle has to achieve 50,000 new connections within 3 months under this scheme.

 

 

Offers for Broadband Customers

 

Upward Revision of download speed after Fair Usage Plan (FUP) – NO Kbps  ONLY Mbps

 

BSNL is the first Telecom Operator to upgrade the minimum download speed to 1 Mbps from 512 Kbps after FUP, thus doubling the existing speed.  Further, BSNL has handsomely increased pre FUP data limits across various Broadband plans. BSNL , Tamilnadu circle specially offers many attractive BB plans one of the flagship plan being 750 Combo plan with Fixed monthly charges Rs.750/-, Unlimited download, 2Mbps speed upto 5GB and 1Mbps thereafter. Plan 1045 with FMC Rs.1045, Speed 4Mbps till 16GB and 1 Mbps thereafter is also available.

 

Next Generation Network (NGN)

 

Tamilnadu Circle has introduced a state-of-the-art technology “NGN” with a capacity of 100000 in 26 places along 4 cities, viz. Madurai, Salem, Trichy and Tirupur under Phase-I.  96 places are planned under Phase-II.  NGN Switches have got various value-added services like

Wi-Fi Hotspots

 

Wi-Fi Hotspots are provided by BSNL at important tourist spots and pilgrimage locations.  In Tamilnadu Circle, 62 locations have been provided with this facility with 102 access points so far and there is a plan to provide another 200 Hotspot access points in Tamilnadu Circle including the places given by Tourism Development Department.  Public Sector Banks like Indian Bank (15 locations, 60 access points) and State Bank of India (6 locations, 25 access points) are adopting remote villages for extending this service under “Prime Minister’s Digital India Initiative” programme.

 

 

SWAS: Service With A Smile

 

Under SWAS Programme Tamilnadu Circle has formulated an innovative programme “Nalandhaana.

 

Nalandhaana – MEET & GREET CUSTOMERS’’

 

• An innovative programme formulated by Tamilnadu Circle was launched on 1.7.2016 to “Meet and Greet” the customers at their doorsteps in the inner zone and redress their grievances, if any by a team of BSNL Officers and staff. This is aimed at retaining the existing customers and for enrolling more new customers.  In the last 50 days, 50,000 customers have been visited by BSNL teams across the circle.

 

• 3000 New landline customers and 2700 new broadband customers were brought into BSNL network under this scheme apart from reconnecting 750 customers

 

• 15000 SIMs and 35000 special tariff “Nalandhana” Recharge Coupons were sold and 1200 faults were rectified.

 

Two Mega Melas were conducted in Tamilnadu during July and August wherein 38,000 and 68,000 mobile SIMs were sold respectively in a single day.

 

 

BSNL MOBILE SERVICES:

 

GSM VII+ ADD ON PROJECT

 

• Tamilnadu Circle is having 5,828 Nos. of 2-G BTS and 1,530 Nos. of 3-G BTS. In addition to this, 1,421 Nos. of 3-G towers are to be added to the existing network under Ph.VII+ Add-on Project.  Further, 600 Nos. of 2-G BTS have been replaced by new technology equipment under this project.

 

• There is also plan to extend in- building 3G coverage with High Data Speed of 21 Mbps for all Corporation Cities and all District Head Quarters and 14.4 Mbps speed in Taluk Head Quarters and Block Head Quarter.

Data STV

 

 

• An unlimited free data usage without speed restriction, valid for 30 days at Rs.1099/- is introduced.

 

• A new DATA-549 STV with 10 GB free data usage, valid for 30 days has been introduced

 

• One more new DATA-156 STV with 2 GB free data usage, valid for 10 days, has been introduced.

 

Student Special Plan

 

Student Special Plan launched by BSNL w.e.f. 20^th June 2016 as a limited period offer is designed to attract the Student Community with 1 GB data and other freebies at an attractive cost of Rs.118/- only. The following are the features of this scheme:

 

• For the First 60 days, local calls will be charged at 10 paise within BSNL and 30 paise for other networks

 

• After 60 days, STV-88 can be used for making both local and STD calls at 10 paise within BSNL and 30 paise for other network

 

• Any two mobile numbers can be added and local calls will be charged at 10 paise within BSNL and 20 paise for other network.

 

Data Sharing in GSM Prepaid Services:

 

A new facility to share data with family and friends is now available to all GSM prepaid customers in Tamilnadu LSA.  Customers can access data sharing option in the portal www.bsnlszprepaid.com by providing their mobile number and entering the OTP (One Time Password) received.  Customer will be guided through a menu option from which he can select any of the group data packs available ranging from Rs.173 to Rs. 2013 allowing sharing of 1.2 GB to 21 GB.
