National Championship of  Super Sunday for Honda racers in Round 3

Media_SK23058Chennai, September 4, 2016: It was an action filled final day at the Round 3 of the Honda One Make Race at the National Championship which got underway at the Madras Motor Race Track, Chennai on Friday.

CBR 250R Open Race 2 results:

The grid for Honda’s flagship CBR 250R Team Championship saw India’s top notch 13 racers. Team Honda Ten 10 Racing put up a clinical display to grab top three positions. Last round’s winner Mathana Kumar continued his good vein of form to finish first clocking 00:12:23:810 minutes. Hari Krishnan R, who clocked fastest lap of the race finished second (00:02:24:052 minutes), whereas Rajiv S finished at third position with a time of 00:12:33:133 minutes.

CBR 150R Novice category:

Last round’s winner Anish D Shetty continued his good run to clinch the first position in a closely fought race ahead of Soorya P M. Anish clocked 00.08.53.364 minutes to finish first, Soorya finished close second with a time of 00.08.53.692 minutes. Pisuh Ranjan with a time of 00.08.56.269 minutes finished third.

Congratulating the winners, Mr Prabhu Nagaraj, Vice President, Customer Service, HMSI said, “It was an excellent outing for our racers, who put up an outstanding show today. My heartiest congratulations to all the winners and hope they will continue this winning streak in the upcoming rounds.”

Honda racers make impressive strides in Open categories:

The Madras Motor Race Track also witnessed scintillating action in the Race 2 of three new categories of National Championship – Stock up to 165cc, Pro Stock 165cc and Super Stock 165cc.

The Pro-Stock 165 saw Rajiv Sethu from Honda Ten Racing Team emerge victorious with a time of 00.12.30.730 and another Honda Ten Racing Team rider and Asia Dream Cup winner Hari Krishnan secured third postion (00.12.38.486)

Super Sport category

Sarath Kumar from Honda Ten 10 Racing Team managed two podiums places by finishing 2nd in both races of Super Sport category.

The Round 4 of Honda One Make Race is scheduled to take place in the month of October 2016 at BIC, Greater Noida.
