‘Outstanding Concrete Structure’in the ‘Residential Buildings’ category – Olympia Grande, Pallavaram bagged the ICI UltraTech award 2016

olympia_0Chennai, September 19, 2016: The Olympia Group’s property at Pallavaram, Chennai “Olympia Grande” bagged the ICI – UltraTech award 2016 for the Outstanding Concrete Structure of 2016 in the residential buildings category. The award was presented to Mr. AJ Balaji, CEO, Olympia Group, at the Concrete day celebrations in Chennai.

Olympia Grande is an aesthetically striking, tall structure, situated right across the Pallavaram -Thoraipakkam flyover which makes it one of the most sought after projects on GST road. The arterial GST Road meets the pulsating OMR and at the junction stands Olympia Grande, redefining the skyline of the micro-market in Pallavaram and Chromepet. Olympia Grande was awarded the ICI – UltraTechaward for the Outstanding Concrete Structure of 2016 based on the following highlighted parameters:

  • The entire super structure is built with Reinforced Concrete Shear Wall
  • For a structure of its magnitude, Olympia Grande, boasts of ‘NIL INCIDENTS’ during construction and was also awarded the ‘Safety Award’ from the British Safety Council
  • 15 to 20% of the overall external lighting is generated by solar power

The ICI – UltraTech awards panel also considered Olympia Grande’s Green building points before awarding the structure. The Key factors that the panel looked into were water and energy conservation, and waste water management. All these factors helped mark the Olympia Grande project as a self-sustainable community.
