The Department of Defence and Strategic studies, University of Madras organized a public lecture on “Role Model leadership: Essence of organizational Excellence” at the S.M.Diaz Hall Chepauk Campus University of Madras.
Dr.S.Utham Kumar Jamadhagni, Associate professor & Head i/c, Department of Defence and Strategic Studies welcomed the speaker Lt Gen S K Gadeock, Commandant, DSSC Wellington and the audience.
Lt Gen S K Gadeock addressed the gathering. He spoke about the role of importance of leadership in organizational setup in which he emphasized values, honour, ambitious & pursuit of innovations for excellence in a realistic time frame. He also touched upon the need for SWOT analysis, professional honesty, intellectual probates and paradigmatic outlook for the formulation of vibrant policies. Highlighting his own achievement as commandant of DSSC, Wellington he said that he has been personally supporting school education of 44 girl students, besides initiating construction of 100 Bed hospital in Coonoor for the needy & downtrodden as well as engaging in imparting training in vegetable gardening & farming to the hill tribes of Nilgiris district.
The lecture ended with a presentation of a momento by Dr M Venkatraman, Department of Defence and Strategic Studies to Lt Gen S K Gadeock. Dr E Prabhakaran Department of Defence and Strategic Studies thanked the audience.
