As you will be aware, our Nation is celebrating Swami Vivekananda’s 150th Birth Anniversary in a grand manner over past few years.
Sri Ramakrishna Math run Schools have also joined the celebrations and have been conducting activities and celebrations befittingly. On July 19th 2013, Vivekananda Centenary Girls’ Higher Secondary School celebrated the 150th Birth Anniversary with various programmes throughout the day.
The Vivekananda Ratham has inspired lakhs of people in various parts of Tamil Nadu for the last 270 days by taking Swamiji’s message to the nook and corner of Tamil Nadu.
On Jan 6th the Ratham visited the School and various programmes were held befitting the occasion including a procession.

The ‘Vivekananda Ratham‘, organized jointly by Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Coimbatore and other sister organizations of Ramakrishna Mission in Tamil Nadu, has inspired lakhs of people in various parts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry for the past 8 Months and is now visiting our Schools on Monday – 6th January 2014. In this connection a small function will be held at the Schools’ premises.

4.02 – 4.07 pm: Garlanding & Aarathi by Swami Gautamananda Maharaj, Adhyaksha, Sri Ramakrishna Math, Mylapore, Chennai.
4.07 – 4.15 pm: Bhajans by Our School Students
4.15 – 4.20 pm: Swami Vivekananda’s quotations – Recitation by Students
4.20 – 4.25 pm: Kolattam by Our School Students
4.25 – 4.30 pm: Benedictory speech by Swami Gautamananda Maharaj
