PRATHIBHA 2014 – Celebration of Talents and Old Students Reunion was held on Sunday, the 16^th February 2014 at Sri Kanyaka Parameswari College of Arts and Science, Chennai from 10 AM to 5 PM. The Chief Guest, Popular Telugu Lyricist Mr. Bhuvanachandra and the Guest of Honor, Cine and Small Screen Fame, Mr. Panchu Subramaniam inaugurated the event at 10 AM. The President, Mrs. Sujatha Ramesh Babu welcomed the gathering. Secretary, Mrs. Mallka Devi presented the Secretary’s Report and Joint Secretary Bhanu Subrmaniam delivered the vote of thanks. The Chief Guests enthralled the audience with their humor and persona.

Three old students of the School were awarded with Vanitha Kishoram – the woman Extraordinaire awards for their phenomenal service to the society and Education to Dr. Sukhavani, Dr. Saraswathy and Ms. Radha. Life Time Achievement Award, Jeevitha Saadhana was given to the renowned Alumnus Mrs. Srilakshmi Mohan Rao for her invaluable contribution towards Woman Empowerment for the life time.

The Alumni acknowledged and thanked the retired Headmistress, Mrs. A. Padmavathy and  four old teachers, Mrs. S. Krishnaveni, Mrs. Seetha Mahalakshmi, Mrs. Subhashini and Mrs. Padmavathi for their selfless work of teaching and four current Best Teacher Awardees, Mrs. O. Leela Rani, Mrs. Rajeswari, Mrs. Jyothi and MRs. Padmasri with mementos and gifts.

There were lots of events for the students on and off stage like, Nrithyaabhinaya – Dance Drama, Ahaa Emi Ruchi – Salad Competition, Muthyaala Muggu – Rangoli and Ms. Prakruthi – Go Green. The members and students participated in all the competitions. The spot surprises were a hot favourite with the gathering.

There was a Tambola with the theme of five colors which was a huge hit with the audience which was appreciated by one and all. The stalls and the eatery gave a rich ambience to the event and the crowd enjoyed it all.

The Program ended with a group dance by the committee members which showed their team spirit. Alumni sincerely thanks all its donors, sponsors and advertisers, old students, present students, Management and staff of KTCT Girls Higher Secondary School, the staff and Management of SKPD college and Trust and General public and look forward to their continued patronage.
