The Mega serial ‘Malli’ starring popular actress Sonia Agarwal is being telecast on Puthuyugam Channel Monday to Friday at 6:30 pm 7.00pm.The serial has a character Vinodhini enacted by Sonia Agarwal who goes through a series of issues with her husband. The decisions Vinodhini takes as a result forms is the direction in which the story moves forward.

Shivani is the smart and pretty, only daughter of Vinodhini and Prasad who have gone against their families’ wishes to get married. Highly successful in their respective careers in Construction and Garment design, Prasad and Vinodhini do not find enough time to take care of their daughter Shivani. Around this time, Vinodhini loses her father and brings her mother Yamuna to her home. Yamuna’s presence in the house causes discomfort to Prasad and Shivani in many ways. This leads to a further rift between Husband and Wife. Vinodhini worries about to how to avoid this rift from getting bigger.

At the same time, in Prasad’s brother Sivaguru’s family too there is some issue brewing. In the desire to earn money Sivaguru’s wife Lakshmi starts a business and gets busy outside while neglecting the family in the process. She consults a friend Premila who is a single and independent woman who advises her to transfer the family properties to her name. Pursuing this plan leads to Lakshmi fighting with her husband.

At the same time, Shivani gets acquainted with Bala, a boy she meets one day while playing. Bala gets close to Shivani emotionally as she reminds him of his beloved sister Malli who is no more. He takes her to his house as well. Bala’s family also extends love and affection towards Shivani who resembles their Malli. Shivani thinks about her parents who do not care much for her and contrasts it with the love that Bala gets from his family.

Vinodhini’s unable to cope with Prasad’s anger, Sivaguru’s struggle to rein in his wife, Shivani’s transformation to Malli … the serial is full of many such twists and turns.

‘Malli’ features Sonia Agarwal, Sethu Darwin, Theni Murugan, Murali, Suchitra Anandan, Krishna Kumari, Baby Harini and others in the cast.
