Chennai 23rd June 2017: ITM Business school witnessed a landmark celebration at The Residency Tower this Friday June23, 2017. 15-17 batch of PGDM graduated while proud parents, friends, and relatives witnessed from the audience enclosure. The convocation began with the invocation ceremony and was declared open after the lighting of lamp by the Chief Guest Dr.C.Sylendra Babu, IPS, Additional Director General of Police, Coastal Security, Tamil Nadu. Guest of honor Ms. R.S. Isabella, MBM, MBA, CAIIB, Executive Director [Managing Director – l/C] – REPCO Bank Ltd., Chennai and Prof R S Mani VP, ITM Business school, Chennai. Dr. Prasanna Sivanandam Director extended her warm welcome to those present and introduced the chief guest, post the welcome address, the Chief guest conferred the Degree Certificates to the students.

This was followed by a convocation address by the Chief Guest, Dr.C.Sylendra Babu, IPS, Additional Director General of Police, Coastal Security, Tamil Nadu. Addressing the students, Dr. Babu said, “We are all part of various institutions, our families, our schools, our colleges and so on. When you are part of an institution you must always strive to give your everything for that institution. You must always put the institution ahead of yourself. Only then the institution pays you back by putting you ahead”. Emphasizing on the need for remaining curious, he observed, “Planning for your career is not something you do at one point in time, it is something that is ongoing, something that you keep going back to. The simple reason for this is change. The world is moving much faster now than when we used to be the student. The world around you changes, your aspirations change, your preferences change. Change has become the only constant. Finally, he added, “I do not believe there is one secret to success. One has to define success for oneself. Prof Mani ITM Business school also addressed the students and the audience, he said, “On the occasion of ITM Business School Convocation we proudly celebrate the academic learning and achievements of our graduating group of students. ITM Business School has prepared these students to embrace the promise of successful careers in any field. They are also prepared as a leader to face and address any and all professional challenges in a rapidly evolving global market and industry. Above all, ITM Business School are a creative and compassionate community of global professionals and life-long learners who will make in the world and make it an exciting place for us all- we wish all ITM Business School degree holder the best in their professional and personal journeys ahead.” Thereafter the convocation was declared closed and the convocation procession left from the venue. The day will forever be in the memory of ITM Business school heart as the ITM family and guests enjoyed the lunch hosted to mark this spectacular milestone in the ITM history.
