20 feared killed as Maoists attack CRPF team in Chhattisgarh

Around 20 people are feared killed after Maoists attacked a CRPF search party in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada, according to leading English daily. The Maoists attacked a joint team of about 50 CRPF and police personnel in Jhiram Ghati on Tuesday morning, the reports say. The attack took place at around 10.30am and the encounter is still on, according to Chhattisgarh Police.

Additional security forces have been rushed to the spot. According to reports, the place is not far away from where the Congress leaders were attacked in the state.
