Authentic Kolu celebrations at Velammal

Velammal Mogappair campus celebrated Navarathri Kolu in an ethnic manner.
Navaratri marks Goddess Durga’s set out to destroy demon Naragasura. Clay figurines are displayed in the steps to bring the festivity. Innovative Rangoli using various objects like colour powders, betel leaves, ornaments etc. is a real crowd puller everyday.

The students sung devotional songs in praise of Goddess Saraswathi. Around 3000 parents visited Kolu with their wards and appreciated the efforts of the school to inculcate the tradition and culture of the festival.
Dishes made out of pulses and sweets were served to the Staff, Parents & Students.
