BIG FM ENLIGHTENS LISTENERS ABOUT THE BASIC RIGHT TO FOOD WITH #NoKhaaliPet
On the occasion of Human Rights Day, BIG FM, one of the India’s largest radio networks, launched a unique initiative #NoKhaaliPet. This activity aims at spreading awareness among the citizens around the long-standing issue of hunger and malnutrition in the country and the fact that Right to Food still remains the most basic Human right. In its endeavour to help bring about a change in the existing situation, BIG FM has created an impactful music video highlighting the social issue which calls for an alarming attention. BIG FM that has been creating its original music over time, is promoting the music video on all digital platforms of the network.
The lyrical video opens with a school going boy packing extra lunch while the mother looks at him suspiciously. Only to find out later that he shares his lunch with those who are deprived of food. Being in a country which is one of the largest in under nourished population, the radio network decided to take a step forward in creating awareness about the prevailing issue in our society which is the need of the hour. The song through its lyrics aims to bring attention of the citizens on the fact that the country cannot progress till the future generation is devoid of their basic right to food. BIG FM urges the listeners to join the cause by adopting practices such as avoiding food wastage, regularly donating food at NGOs, creating social communities to organise food donation drives for the underprivileged children and, sponsoring a child’s meal in a government school etc. A beautiful rendition sung by a group of children has been composed by renowned music director Ravi Singhal.
